At the Lows, if a seller are no longer willi g to sell at the current price and they are demanding a higher price and the buyers are willing to pay a higher price, Price will move up.      

At the highs, if buyers refuse to pay the current market price but they are only willing to nuy at a lower price & at the same times the sellers are willing to sell it at that lower price then the Prices will fall.

This collective perception can take a life of its own and thus move the markets to extremes. This is how and why price action trading changes quickly and to extremes.
